Colored Pygora Rosie
Rosy is a Registered PCA Doe, adopted, and tracking down her lines took months, but now her entire clan (minus the wethers since it doesn't matter) are Registered. Rosy's offspring are such great producers of Type A fiber I don't offer them for sale. ![]() Midnight: Cashmere Doe
Midnight was among the first Cashmere does to arrive at the farm. She is one of the farm's Foundation Does for Pycazz Her fine cashmere fiber is a striking dark brown with redish overtones. Midnight has been the mom of some very beautiful kids and is about 4 1/2 years old. ![]() Pycazz Brieseis, better known as Brie
Brie was the farms first and only bottle kid, her dam was a very young Midnight who wasn't quite sure what parenting was all about and still hadn't adjusted to moving to our farm. Midnight is now a really good mom. If you haven't had a bottle-kid relationship it is difficult to understand how attached you can become to these precious young kids. I didn't think Brie would ever discover she was really a goat, but she had her own kids, became a good mother, and made the transition well. Perhaps with a bit of regret I can report she has individuated and taken her place with the herd (sort of). Brie is Pycazz, her fiber has a micron count of 20.75 and 100% comfort factor. ![]() ![]()
![]() Reg. Pygora Doe Arielle
Sired by Twice Grand Champion Jackson with Sparkle as her Dam, Arie is a very nice doe with Type A Pygora Fleece. ![]() A Reg. Colored Angora Doe Named Kitten
This picture was taken right after she arrived on the farm last Fall. Kitten was a Reserve Champion at The Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival when younger and has excellent conformation. Kitten was bred to Grand Champion Pygora buck Jackson. This year she was bred to Cisco, Jackson's son, hoping for red but it didn't happen. What did happen was Noah and a really nice black doe who looks like she will have Type B fiber. She is about 4 and her fiber is courser, but so beautiful a silver it demanded attention. I had it blended with the dark brown-black from the Jacob's sheep and the result was amazingly soft with the silver mohair stunningly hightlighting the deep dark brown of the Jacob's wool. Kitten gave birth to two pretty Angora kids in December, red Ely and creamy Ashley. ![]()
Pycazz Alana
Alana is not only a beautiful Pycazz with great fiber, but she has a wonderful personality as well. While a bit of a dare devil, she is also very sweet and lovable. Alana is about 2 years old now and a permanent member of the herd. Photo taken at the end of December, 2006. Alana is Pycazz with a fiber micron count of 16.46 and all Pycazz have the 100% comfort factor. ![]() Pycazz Pebbles, The first Pycazz kid is now a young doe
Pebble's sire is Grand Champion Goose Creek Farm's Jackson and her dam is Cashmere Betsy Ross. Pebbles, the first Pycazz doe born on the farm, birthed two kids on December 24th, both boys and wethers to be named Prancer and Noel. Pebs was bred to the first Pycazz buck, Fletcher (micron count 16.77), and her offspring represent the first breeding of Pycazz to Pycazz, both boys are white, have wavy fleece, and look very much alike. Prancer is now living in Oklahoma with Vixen and his owner, his fiber was very cashmere, fine, and there was a lot of it. Noel is still on the farm. ![]() Day is 3/4 Pygora and 1/4 Cashmere
Day has excellent fiber and when she was shown in the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival last year in the All Other Fiber Goat Category, her fiber won Judges Choice. It is super soft and consistent. Without being dehaired her spun fiber was as soft as a summer's cloud. She has a great personality, very affectionate, and she is exceptionally good at picking pockets. Her nickname is 'Spoiled Brat Day,' but only because she is so lovable a pest. ![]() Cashmere Doe Blossom
Born in the Spring on her home farm, named after the blossoms celebrating the new season, the name suits Blossom's personality. She was the first of the new cashmere does to make friends with us, even if she jumped the fence to achieve those ends. Now older she has retired from her Olypic hurdling feats, but is still a friend who produces fine cashmere fiber and Cashpygora kids with great fiber and growth. ![]() Cashmere Doe Gwen
Gwen is Midnight's sister, she too was among the first cashmere goats to arrive. Gwen is Gretel's dam and has beautiful kids who grow up to produce fine and plentiful cashmere fiber. Gwen is a gentle goat, shy but friendly. Bred to Bryce this year, Gwen had two doe kids and you can see the presence of Bryce's fiber genes in these two black doe kids. ![]() Pycazz Gretel and kid Holly
Gretel's dam is Cashmere Doe Gwen. Grettle is Pycazz and has a micron count in the mid-16 range. Finding a picture of Grettle without Holly right there is impossible. Gwen is either a great mom or overprotective of her first kid. Gretel has fine cashmere fiber, it grows year round, and she had only been brushed out about 3 months before this picture was taken. Gretel is a really special Cashpygora doe. I had her evaluated at OFFF last year by Joe David Ross, one of the foremost judges of fine fiber, who found her fiber as fine as any in the Cashmere show ring, was impressed by its length and quanity for the month of September. And yet, the great quality of the Cashpygoras is the growth, fineness of their fiber, and yield. Holy was sold, but Gretel has really nice kids. ![]() Reg. Pygora Doe Windshadow's Snowflake
Snowflake is a Type C Pygora doe, meaning that her fleece comes into fiber in the Fall and Winter. Type C Pygora is a cashmere fiber and commercially qualifies as cashmere if below the 18.5/19 micron count in fineness. Windshadow's Snowflake was the first Reg. Pygora we bought and she is really my granddaughter's goat. She is super friendly and always has extremely social and friendly kids. Because her frame is heavier she also produces great bucks, with Jr. Champion Bryn Hollow Farm's Vixen being one of Snowflake's offspring. Snowflake had triplets in June, all caramel and white, all very cute and lovable. The Triplets were sired by our Champion Foundation Buck Jackson who back in time was purchased the same day as Snowflake and so they arrived together. ![]() Goose Creek Farm's Brindle
Brindle is a Registered Pygora Doe with ample and beautiful Type B Caramel Fleece and Fiber and is a permanet resident, very friendly, and a good doe. She was pregnant when I left Oregon and lost her kids do to the stress of moving, sadly. She made it through a difficult delivery, no thanks to the vet who came for a house visit and did nothing. Will see how she does in the future, don't know if her capacity to have kids was diminished because of the ordeal but am just vrey happy she is recovered and doing well. ![]() PCA Eligible Pygora Kerry
Kerry is one of the Rosie Clan, now Registered through PCA. Kerry's doe kid last year was sold to a 4-H girl and went on to become the 4-H Grand Champion in the 4-H Show in the All Fiber goat class, her brother was reserve champion. Her primarily white and fine fiber has a bit of silver. She is a very good natured doe and Eliza's Dam with Cisco's assistance. She had one boy this year, now a wether, he is brown with wavy fleece and very pretty. ![]() Pycazz Kaitlan
Katie is Alana's twin sister and like her sister has beautiful Pycazz fiber. Katie's fiber has a micron count of 15.33. She is 2 years old and a wonderful doe. | Bucks, Grand Champion Jackson, & Bucklings | Does: Cashmere, Pygora, Pycazz (Pygora-Cashmere Cr | Our Fiber Producing Wethers and Friends | Kids and Does for Sale, etc. | Other Farm Friends: Sheep, Dogs, & Ducks | | Return Home | About Our Farm and FAQ | Fiber & Fiber Products: Pygora, Angora, and Pycazz | Artistic Creations of our Farm Animal Friends | Articles on Pycazz (Cashmere-Pygora Cross Breed), | Links to Other Farms, Organizations, Oregon Wool G | Pycazz Goat Breeders Association and Registry | |
